The Algerian Ministry of National Defence denied allegations about the participation of the People’s National Army (ANP) in military missions outside Algerian borders led by foreign countries under the G5 Sahel.
The statement added: “In this regard, the Ministry of National Defence denies categorically all these false interpretations of malicious intent, whose promoters imagine creating chaos and destabilizing the country. It is a propaganda that can only be issued by ignorant people working under orders from the interests of the Moroccan Makhzen regime and Zionism”.
The Algerian institution reassured the national public opinion that the People’s National Army, a descendant of the National Liberation Army, did not and will not submit in its activities. His actions are only under the authority of the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Minister of National Defense, and in accordance with his clear constitutional duties and the laws of the republic, in defense of the national sovereignty, unity and security.
The statement concluded: “we acknowledge the awareness of the national public opinion and we call on the Algerian people to increase the caution and vigilance regarding the false information and news circulating that desperately seek to strike the country’s stability.”
